Headquartered in Granbury, Texas, Vista Sand is an industry-leading vertically integrated frac sand supplier for the oil and gas industry. Vista Sand’s mine is currently located on the Fort Worth & Western Railroad, and it plans to open two new mines in 2017 as well as two new destination transload terminals.

Vista Sand also has two sister companies. Maalt, LP provides rail transloading services, and Maalt Specialized Bulk offers trucking services to ensure low-cost transporting options for all customers.

Currently, customers have access to destination terminals on the UP, BNSF, TXPF, and KCS railroads. Altogether, Vista Sand has a fleet of more than 2,100 railcars, which allows it to transport its frac sand to customers in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Wyoming, and Colorado.

Vista Sand’s frac sand is trademarked as Texas Premium White frac sand. Those in the oil and gas industry know that Texas Premium White possesses the highest crush strength of any sand currently produced in Texas, allowing companies to receive frac sand that compares with the high-quality northern sand minesat a much lower price point.  Vista Sand’s  100 Mesh possesses 9,000 psi crush strength, and its 40/70 Mesh possesses 7,000 psi crush strength.

In addition to its quality, Vista Sand stands by its safety record. Vista Sand received the Sentinels of Safety in 2014 from the National Mining Association (NMA), which is awarded annually to the nation’s safest mines. In order to qualify, a mine must have a minimum of 4,000 injury-free hours. Currently, Vista Sand’s mine has gone more than a year without a reportable employee injury.
